The Boise Linux User Group was founded by the Idaho PC User Group as a special interest group (SIG) and conducted its first meeting in April of 2003. Based in Boise, Idaho, we are Idaho's oldest Linux User group meeting continuously for 7 years. While the group is primarily focused on Ubuntu Linux users and its derivitives, we also support Fedora, openSUSE, Slackware, and Puppy Linux users. Welcome to our website. The old website content can be accessed and searched by clicking here. Now taking the name of Boise Linux User Group and with a membership list of almost 60, meeting attendance is generally around 10 or more depending on the topic and amount of interest providing for varied discussions, not necessarily on-topic, and for networking with other Linux users. The Boise Linux User group now meets once a month on the 1st Thursdays at 6:30 PM, in the Gates Lab at the Boise Public Library. For more information, to make suggestions for the meetings, volunteer to present at our meetings, or to be placed on our email distribution list, you can email c_tinsley@msn.com.
